Wireless outdoor speakers are a welcome innovation by all music-lovers worldwide. They are no longer limited to enjoying their favorite music within their homes. The sound information is carried by electronic signals that are sent by the transmitter to the receiver in the speaker.

The transmitter is usually connected to the audio unit with an RCA plug. Such unit could be a DVD player, TV, or an MP3 player. The receiver, on the other hand, often includes an amplifier to boost the sound from the transmitter. Some receivers are wireless only relative to the source of the audio, as they do have wires connected to an electrical outlet for power. Other models have totally discarded wires, relying on batteries to power them up. An advantage of this type is that wires and cables are totally eliminated.

Manufacturers of wireless outdoor speakers claim that these gadgets are just as reliable as their indoor counterparts. Their sound quality is identical. And because of the studier built of the outdoors models, they are expected to last as long as the indoors types even if they are exposed to the elements.

One common misconception about these speakers is their price. Because of the convenient features and excellent sound quality that they offer, these speakers are believed to be very expensive.
